HOW TO PICK YOUR
DOORS.
A hunting blind door is the most-failed component on a typical box blind. Wood doors warp, screen-door latches squeak, and uninsulated panels turn a 20°F November morning into a miserable sit. Our steel-frame doors solve all three: a welded frame won't warp, a deadbolt-style latch is silent in the dark, and factory-installed weatherstripping keeps the wind on the other side of the door where it belongs.
Pick the 24″ × 68″ if you're building a single-hunter or two-hunter blind on a standard footprint. It's the most-installed door in our catalog and fits the cutout patterns used by every major box-blind maker. Pick the 33″ × 63″ wide-entry if you guide clients, hunt with kids, or move dogs and gear in and out of the blind regularly — the extra width turns a tight squeeze into a clean entry.
Both doors come pre-hung in a welded steel frame, so installation is a matter of squaring the rough opening, dropping in the door, and running fasteners through the frame. Most hunters install in under 30 minutes with two people. Hinges are heavy-gauge and outlast the blind around them.
American-made, curated by The Hunt Supply. Ships free in 5–8 business days. Backed by the manufacturer's warranty on welds, hinges, and the latch.
— FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS HUNTERS ASK
ABOUT DOORS.
- ▸ STANDARD OR WIDE-ENTRY DOOR — WHICH DO I NEED?
- Standard 24×68 is right for personal blinds, two-hunter blinds, and most retrofit installs. Wide-entry 33×63 is right for outfitters, guide services, family blinds, and anyone who regularly moves clients, kids, dogs, or large gear in and out of the blind.
- ▸ WILL THE DOOR FIT MY EXISTING BLIND FRAME?
- Both doors come pre-hung in a welded steel frame and fit standard rough openings of 24″ or 33″ wide. If your blind has a non-standard opening, email us your dimensions and we'll confirm fit. We can also do custom sizing on request.
- ▸ IS THE DOOR INSULATED?
- The door panel itself uses a closed-cell core that resists temperature transfer, and the factory weatherstripping seals the perimeter against drafts. Combined with proper insulation in your blind walls, the door will hold heat from a small propane heater through the coldest sits of the season.
- ▸ HOW QUIET IS THE LATCH?
- The latch is a deadbolt-style mechanism with a steel cam riding on a bushed channel — no spring-loaded ball detent that clicks. Pull it open or push it closed and you'll hear nothing past a few feet.
